Reducing volume and shape errors in front tracking by divergence-preserving velocity interpolation and parabolic fit vertex positioning

چکیده

Volume conservation and shape preservation are two well-known issues related to the advection remeshing in front tracking. To address these issues, this paper proposes a divergence-preserving velocity interpolation method parabolic fit vertex positioning for operations three-dimensional Errors preserving divergence of field when interpolating from fluid mesh vertices triangles primary reason volume errors advecting front. The proposed preserves discrete by construction is compared work with other known methods divergence-free non-divergence-free test cases, respect presented conserves up an order magnitude better than conventionally used within range higher at lower computational cost. Additionally, locally approximates smooth polynomial surface, improving conventional algorithms.
